Conversations with My Mom, Part II

I had this phone conversation with my mother on November 6, 2011.  I found it on my Facebook account.

When I was doing my taxes in April I discovered we had no staples for stapling my papers together. I decided to call my mother to see if I could borrow a stapler. Here’s how it went:

Mom:”Hello?”
Me: “Hi, Mom. Can I borrow your stapler?”
Mom:”Do you want to borrow a stapler or a staple gun?”
Me: “A stapler”
Mom:”What are you doing?”
Me: “I’m doing my taxes”
Mom:”So you don’t need a stapler gun?”
Me: “No”
Mom: “What are you going to do?”
Me: “I’m going to take two sheets and staple them together”
Mom:”Don’t you have a stapler?”
Me: “We have a stapler but no staples”
Mom:”Do you want me to bring staples over?”
Me: “No”
Mom: “Are you sure? ‘Cuz I can bring them over”
Me: “NO. I JUST WANT TO BORROW YOUR STAPLER!”
Mom:”You sound just like your father!!!”
